Joe sent us a map of Snooks Bottom. He describes it as "a public space with a pond of about 12 acres. It is directly adjacent to the Colorado River. It is a great spot to walk dogs, swim in the summer, watch birds. We went there yesterday and saw 3 hawks in the space of about 30 minutes. We also have seen Blue Herons, Canadian Geese, Magpies, and lots of small wrens. In warmer weather you can also hear Colorado River toads trilling. The drone of Interstate 70 is constant in the daylight hours. The Rio Grande RR can be heard a lot as well."
