Earlier in the week we posted some maps of Pionersk drawn by Jessica when she was visiting the area. She sent us a few more that we'd like to share with you as well.
Jessica sent us a great collection of maps she drew while volunteering in Russia at the age of 19. We're sharing a few here today, but will include a few more tomorrow as well. Jessica sent us a little background information on the area: "The Kaliningrad province used to be East Prussia. Since 1991 it is separated from 'Big Russia,' as the locals call the rest of Russia, by the reinstated republics of Poland and Lithuania. It's a little Russian exclave in the EU. Pionersk is a small town on the Baltic Sea. There are about 10 roads in Pionersk but most people travel using the network of footpaths. That's what I tried to map."
